For True Pulp Viscosity Measurement

PulpVIS® is a single sample, portable viscometer with built-in TE cooling for testing pulp at 20 °C or 25 °C. It is easy to use, rugged and fast. Available tubes cover the TAPPI viscosity range of 0.8 mPa·s (cP) to 190 mPa·s (cP) at 20 °C and 25 °C.

Automated and precise determination of direct kinematic viscosity at 20 °C or 25 °C*

  • Provides true pulp viscosity measurement without the need to correlate dynamic viscosity data
  • Viscosity range (values also reported in cP if density is known): 0.8 mPa·s (cP) to 190 mPa·s (cP) at 20 °C and 25 °C. Values are presented in mPa·s (cP) when the TAPPI T230 specified density value is entered.
  • Follows TAPPI T230/PAPTAC G.24P and offers near ASTM D445 precision due to exceptional temperature control (± 0.05 °C)
  • Rapid cycle time of 3 to 5 minutes from sample injection to test result

Portable, self-contained and dependable

  • Weighs approximately 10 lb and takes up less space than a coffee maker
  • Does not require a PC or any external utilities
  • Optional power inverter enables unit to run off of a 12 Vdc vehicle charging port
