Receiving

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic, self motivated, reliant individual to fill our open position of Receiving in our Shipping & Receiving Department. 

Summary: 

Physically receive incoming goods and then record/document information in regards to incoming goods. Follow applicable internal and external regulations for receiving, quality purposed, packing and transporting hazardous materials.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Physically receive incoming goods.
  • Record/document received goods.
  • Maintain inspection and quality related functions.
  • Transfer of goods.
  • Locate received goods on proper shelves.
  • Assist the shipping and other departments.
  • Maximize the concepts of Lean Manufacturing.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • This position requires at least one year of experience within in a shipping and receiving department.
  • This position requires basic math and communication skills.
  • HazMat certification is required and will be provided upon hire.
  • This position requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.

Service Technician Assistant

Summary:

The company's longstanding emphasis on production of premiere-quality laboratory equipment has kept CANNON at the cutting edge of research and development for viscosity instrumentation serving a variety of industries.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Perform work necessary to successfully complete the repair and calibration of equipment returned to Cannon Instrument Company.
  • Provide technical support to colleagues internally and externally to the department.
  • Complete repair reports upon completion of repairs.
  • Assist with in house training preparation as needed.
  • Assist with departmental inventory controls.
  • Assist with RA’s as needed.
  • Maximize the concepts of Lean Manufacturing

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • Two year technical degree or equivalent technical experience
  • Experience with microprocessors, sensitive digital and analog circuitry and sensors
  • Must be familiar with MS DOS and windows operating system, with focus on word processing and spreadsheet
  • Must have strong technical problem solving, interpersonal skills and communication skills
