IT Assistant

This position’s primary focus is in the areas of computer operations, user and desktop support, helpdesk, and data management by performing a variety of moderately complex information technology support duties to ensure smooth delivery of technology services

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Engage in entry-level technical support for end users, such as computer maintenance, printer set-ups, and basic troubleshooting for hardware/software.
  • Assist Director of Information Technology with configuration/decommission of users computers.
  • Assist Director of Information Technology with new user set-ups for new employees.
  • Organize and maintain IT inventory (including physical location, and company database).
  • Create, prepare and provide Business Activities Queries.
  • Create, prepare and provide Crystal reports.

Additional duties and responsibilities

  • Mounting and removing new and old servers to and from the server racks.
  • Other duties as required

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • CompTIA A+ certification desired but not required.
  • Familiar with Epicor is preferred but not required.
  • Experience with Database and crystal report writing is a plus but not required.
  • Strong Computer Skills.
  • General Computer course work.
  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma.
  • One (1) to Three (3) years of IT experience.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask and make critical decisions in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server and Databases a plus.

Shipping Clerk

Package products for shipping and prepare the necessary documentation for each shipment; bills of lading, airway bills, hazard forms and invoice. Prepare shipping labels for use by carrier. Assist in loading/unloading freight. Assist in receiving duties. Assist in maintenance duties. Follow personal safety procedures and regulation pertaining to customs, transportation and other government regulations.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Package products for shipping.
  • Prepare documentation for shipping, includes use of computer/carrier software.
  • Assist other departments with their essential functions: receiving and stores.
  • Assist other departments: expediting and recalling shipments, locating parts.
  • Maximize the concepts of Lean Manufacturing.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

This position requires hazmat training, safety and general awareness training, basic math and communication skills and export training. This position also requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.


Standard Laboratory Bottler

This position is primarily responsible for bottling and boxing all viscosity standards for customer orders and internal orders.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Retrieve orders from Order Processor.
  • Prepare documentation for shipping, includes use of computer/carrier software.
  • Prepare standards by applying appropriate label to the bottle; fill bottles from drums and containers of approved material; place into labeled box with its Certificate/Report of Analysis as per printed customer and internal orders or stock Kanban’s.
  • Check drum levels and report to Blending Technician when a drum is too low for pouring.
  • Make oil boxes for packaging.
  • Maximize the concepts of Lean Manufacturing.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Good communication skills are a must.
  • Must be able to handle routine work.

Standards Laboratory Assistant Order Planner and Processer

This position processes the necessary paperwork for viscosity standard orders for Stores in accordance with laboratory procedures. This position will also generate various certificates of calibration and then archive them. This position will also maintain proper inventory of supplies necessary for this process.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Create Jobs from Epicor for none stocked standards.
  • Inform Standards Calibration Technician of added temperature orders.
  • Prioritize the Jobs by shipping date and type.
  • Generate Certificate/Report of Analysis for newly converted viscosity standards as well as attach new labels to the drums and take a Beginning Retain sample.
  • Archive old Certificate/Report of Analysis.
  • Generate Certificate/Report of Analysis and all labels for all viscosity standards, Special Blends and added temperature orders for bottling packets
  • Generate Certificates of Calibration for all types of probes.
  • Maintain stock of Silicone Bath Fluids for equipment.
  • Keep an accurate inventory of all Certificates /Report of Analysis, labels, oil stock, paper and other supplies for the standards laboratory.
  • Maximize the concepts of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Prepare standards by applying appropriate label to the bottle; fill bottles from drums and containers of approved material; place into labeled box with its Report of Calibration as per printed customer and internal orders or stock kanbans.
  • Make oil boxes for packing. (Moved from Essential to Added.)
  • Keep work area neat and clean.
  • Other duties as required.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must have office environment training or equivalent.
  • This position requires the knowledge of computers with a proficiency in word processing and spreadsheets.
  • This position requires knowledge of filing, copying and telephone etiquette.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Strong organization skills are a must.
