Shipping Clerk

Package products for shipping and prepare the necessary documentation for each shipment; bills of lading, airway bills, hazard forms and invoice. Prepare shipping labels for use by carrier. Assist in loading/unloading freight. Assist in receiving duties. Assist in maintenance duties. Follow personal safety procedures and regulation pertaining to customs, transportation and other government regulations.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Package products for shipping.
  • Prepare documentation for shipping, includes use of computer/carrier software.
  • Assist other departments with their essential functions: receiving and stores.
  • Assist other departments: expediting and recalling shipments, locating parts.
  • Maximize the concepts of Lean Manufacturing.

  • Janitorial
  • Production kit assembly
  • Other duties as required

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

This position requires hazmat training, safety and general awareness training, basic math and communication skills and export training. This position also requires the ability to lift up to 70 lbs.


Standard Laboratory Bottler

This position is primarily responsible for bottling and boxing all viscosity standards for customer orders and internal orders.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Retrieve orders from Order Processor.
  • Prepare documentation for shipping, includes use of computer/carrier software.
  • Prepare standards by applying appropriate label to the bottle; fill bottles from drums and containers of approved material; place into labeled box with its Certificate/Report of Analysis as per printed customer and internal orders or stock Kanban’s.
  • Check drum levels and report to Blending Technician when a drum is too low for pouring.
  • Make oil boxes for packaging.
  • Maximize the concepts of Lean Manufacturing.

Knowledge, skills and abilities required

  • This position requires a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable.
  • Good communication skills are a must.
  • Must be able to handle routine work.
